-
Cranberries are low in histamine compared to wine, or fermented juices.

Juice of ½ fresh lime

Instructions: Muddle ginger slightly in a glass. Add ice, lime juice, sparkling water, and sweetener. Stir gently.
Low-Histamine & Mast-Cell Insight:
-
Fresh lime is generally well tolerated in moderation.
-
Ginger is anti-inflammatory and may help calm mast-cell reactivity and gut motility.
-
Sparkling water is safe and adds a festive fizz without triggers.
Blueberry-Basil Cooler

-
½ cup fresh blueberries (or thawed frozen)
-
¾ cup sparkling water
-
3–4 fresh basil leaves

1 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)

Ice
Instructions: Muddle blueberries and basil gently, add ice and sparkling water, stir lightly. Garnish with a basil leaf.
Low-Histamine & Mast-Cell Insight:
-
Fresh blueberries are lower in histamine than dried or fermented fruits.
-
Basil is anti-inflammatory and can support mast-cell stability.
-
No artificial additives = fewer triggers for SIBO or MCAS symptoms.
Tips for All Three Drinks:
-
Serve fresh, as juices can accumulate histamine over time.
-
Avoid pre-made mixers or juices with dyes, preservatives, or “natural flavors.”
-
Taste-test small amounts first if you are sensitive.
-
These drinks are SIBO-friendly, supporting hydration without sugar alcohols or excessive fermentable carbs.
