Pomegranate Spritzer (Low-Histamine, Gut-Friendly)s & SIBO During the Holiday Season

 A festive, refreshing mocktail without alcohol, dyes, or histamine-triggering additives.

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • ¼ cup 100% pure pomegranate juice (no added sugars or flavors)

  • ¾ cup sparkling water (unflavored)

  • 1–2 tsp maple syrup or raw honey  or monk fruit (optional, based on tolerance)

  • A squeeze of fresh ginger juice (optional, for gut support)

  • Ice cubes (optional)

  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, if tolerated)

Instructions

  1. Fill a glass with ice.

  2. Add pomegranate juice.

  3. Pour sparkling water over top and stir gently.

  4. Sweeten lightly with maple syrup or honey or monk fruit if desired.

  5. Add a splash of ginger juice or a small slice of fresh ginger for extra digestive comfort.

  6. Garnish with mint or a few pomegranate arils (optional).
